Just like in nature, every small act makes a difference. Giving to RYO is like the butterfly effect, small changes that result in larger differences. Your donation, no matter what size makes a big impact at Rensselaer Youth Outdoors. 

 

Consider giving at any amount, and here’s what your dollars will do:

  • $5 buys a pair of work gloves for a teen. 

  • $10 pays for seedlings and soil to plant native species supporting butterfly coordinators and pollinator gardens. 

  • $50 allows us to buy more compasses, microscopes, bug nets and binoculars to give to schools and youth groups.

  • $100 covers the stipend we pay teens who participate in a week of work and learning. 

  • $500 improves our website and communications so we can include more resources and access points.

Our budget is a combination of hard work, volunteer hours, bright ideas and small financial contributions. Please consider giving today and support the youth of Rensselaer County to love every boulder they encounter, stream they explore and salamander they try to catch (and release).
